Nebraska Legislation Provides Tax Incentives for NioCorp

The State of Nebraska has passed a law granting NioCorp Developments Ltd. more flexibility in accessing approximately $200 million in tax incentives over the next decade. To qualify, NioCorp must meet the state's job creation and investment requirements. This legislation supports the Elk Creek Project, promising about 450 permanent jobs and $6.59 billion in operational expenses throughout its lifecycle.

The new law, signed by Governor Jim Pillen, extends the timeframe for companies like NioCorp to meet necessary employment and investment thresholds. Nebraska lawmakers aim to foster economic growth and make the state more competitive in attracting businesses.

NioCorp Chairman and CEO, Mark A. Smith, expressed gratitude for the state's ongoing support, emphasizing the project's contribution to the domestic supply of critical minerals. The Elk Creek Project is expected to generate substantial tax revenues, alongside direct and indirect employment benefits.
