Neoen and Uniper Enter 7-Year Agreement for Arneburg Battery

Neoen has announced a 30 MW/78 MWh tolling agreement with Uniper for the Arneburg Battery in Germany. This arrangement begins in 2027 and extends for seven years. Uniper will manage charging and discharging, while Neoen oversees operations and maintenance.

The Arneburg Battery, Neoen’s inaugural project in Germany, is under construction and set to be operational by 2026. Neoen has been expanding its battery storage projects in Germany since 2023 and aims to be a significant player in the market, benefiting from its global expertise in large-scale batteries. Its current storage portfolio reaches 2.7 GW/8.1 GWh.

Uniper, based in Düsseldorf, operates in over 40 countries and plays a vital role in Europe's energy security. This partnership marks a strategic move in diversifying Uniper's portfolio and supporting energy transition efforts.
