Neoen inaugurates the Breizh Big Battery, its first large battery in France
On October 8, 2026, Neoen inaugurated the Breizh Big Battery (BBB) in Pleyber-Christ, near Morlaix. This 92 MW/183 MWh installation is the largest battery in Brittany and one of the largest in France. It was built in partnership with Huawei and Equans in just 18 months. The BBB provides grid regulation services to stabilize the electricity network and is the subject of a unique experiment in France by RTE, transitioning from grid-following to grid-forming through inverter retrofitting. This project is part of a collaborative approach with the municipality of Pleyber-Christ, aimed at supporting the local energy transition.
