Neoen Commences Construction of Arneburg Battery in Germany
Neoen, a leading renewable energy producer, has launched the construction of its first German asset, the Arneburg Battery, in Saxony-Anhalt. This follows the official notice given to Nidec, the storage solution supplier, in December 2024. The project's completion is expected by 2026, with a planned capacity of 45 MW / 90 MWh, aimed at enhancing the stability and resilience of Germany's electric grid.
Neoen's Arneburg project signifies the company's entry into the German market, where it anticipates substantial growth with a project pipeline exceeding 1 GW. This development aligns with Germany's energy transition, reflecting Neoen's strategy to leverage its global battery expertise.
Neoen's global portfolio includes significant projects like Australia's Collie Battery, with a focus on supporting renewable energy integration.
