Neoen Initiates Construction of Three New Solar Farms in France

Neoen, a leading French renewable energy producer, has commenced the construction of three new solar farms in France, totaling 230 MWp. These projects are expected to be operational by 2028. The largest, Le Couret agrisolar farm, will have a capacity of 147 MWp. It is situated in the Haute-Vienne department and developed with local agricultural stakeholders. The other two farms, Isle-sur-Marne and Matignicourt, with capacities of 48 MWp and 35 MWp respectively, are in La Marne department.

Equans Solar & Storage, a Bouygues subsidiary, has been tasked with building these farms and two substations connecting to the French RTE network. The projects support Neoen's 25-year power purchase agreement with SNCF Énergie, aiding in the energy supply for the Paris-Marseille high-speed rail line. Neoen claims nearly 1.5 GW of solar capacity under construction or in operation in France, solidifying its market position.
