Netgem launches its PLEIO service in the United Kingdom

Netgem has unveiled its new entertainment service, PLEIO, in the UK market. This innovative service includes a Freely-certified "streaming puck," providing access to a wealth of content. Users benefit from the Freely platform for live and on-demand television, as well as 150 additional channels covering various genres such as sports and movies.

PLEIO also offers over 250 cloud games published by Netgem and access to popular apps via the Google Play Store, such as Netflix and Disney+. These services are accessible via Wi-Fi using a small streaming device accompanied by a voice remote and a gamepad. The offering is intended for distribution either directly or through partnerships with internet service providers.

Netgem's CEO, Mathias Hautefort, emphasizes that PLEIO provides an all-in-one approach for consumers and offers operators a unique opportunity to deliver an enhanced experience to connected homes. This launch marks a significant milestone in providing easy access to free television in the streaming era.
