Newron Secures EUR 5.5 Million in Share Subscription

Newron Pharmaceuticals S.p.A. announces the subscription of EUR 5.5 million worth of shares by an investor group as a part of an up to EUR 38 million financing endeavor. This financial boost aims to advance its Phase 3 evenamide program, a potential first add-on therapy for treatment-resistant schizophrenia (TRS).

The investor group, which initially subscribed to up to 779,624 shares with a part already financed, enhances Newron's financial capacity to support the ENIGMA-TRS Phase 3 studies. An additional EUR 5.5 million subscription is scheduled for November 2026, pending the progress of these studies.

Newly issued shares are anticipated to be listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange, facilitating market accessibility. Newron's development strategy could benefit the company's positioning in the treatment-resistant schizophrenia therapy market.
