Nexans has signed a subcontract with Hellenic Cables, in partnership with Asso.subsea, for the delivery of a 420 km MI 110 kV cable system for Greece's Corinth-Kos HVDC interconnection. This strategic project aims to enhance the electrical connectivity between the Dodecanese islands and the mainland, contributing significantly to Greece's energy infrastructure and transition.

The Corinth-Kos HVDC interconnection is a major undertaking, featuring approximately 1,260 km of subsea cable and 30 km of land cable. Awarded by IPTO to Hellenic Cables, it is considered one of the region's most ambitious power transmission initiatives.

Nexans will supply the 110 kV cable system, critical for the safe operation of the interconnection. Activities have already begun at Nexans' production lines, with work slated to continue until mid-2028. This project further cements Nexans' role in high-voltage transmission market leadership.
