NEXTDC Responds to Goodman Group and Digital Realty Share Raid
NEXTDC Limited (ASX:NXT) has issued a response to the recent share raid conducted by Ackland Investments No.1 Pty Limited. This entity, owned equally by Goodman Group and Digital Realty Trust, Inc., executed an aftermarket book build on 4 November 2026. The aim was to acquire NEXTDC shares at A$9.50 each, targeting a 9.9% stake in the company's ordinary shares.
NEXTDC notes that neither Goodman nor Digital Realty intends to make a takeover bid but reserves the right to do so. The Board of NEXTDC views this action as opportunistic, especially following a recent announcement about a power delay and revised FY27 guidance. They assure shareholders that any legitimate proposals will be evaluated in their best interests.
NEXTDC has appointed Barrenjoey Advisory, UBS Securities Australia, and Cadence Advisory as financial advisers, with Mallesons as legal adviser. Shareholders are advised that no action is currently necessary.
