Niklas Östberg to Step Down as CEO of Delivery Hero

Berlin-based Delivery Hero SE announced that Founder and CEO Niklas Östberg will transition out of his role by March 31, 2027. After leading the company for fifteen years, Östberg, with the Supervisory Board, marked this as a strategic moment for leadership change. He will continue to helm the ongoing Strategic Review and associated M&A processes.

The search for a new CEO will commence shortly, with the aim to conclude by the end of 2026. This move aligns with Delivery Hero's long-term strategy of expanding market depth and enhancing customer offerings with the Everyday App approach.

Östberg expressed pride in the company’s growth from a Berlin start-up to a global delivery leader, emphasizing that Delivery Hero comprises its team who will continue to build value.

The Supervisory Board acknowledged his foundational role and is committed to finding a successor to carry forward his legacy. Isabel Poscherstnikov highlighted the company's strong foundation, hinting at a promising future.
