Nine Mile Metals Reports High-Grade VMS Findings at Wedge Mine
Nine Mile Metals Ltd. has disclosed assay results from drill hole DDH WD-26-12 at its Wedge Mine, located in the Bathurst Mining Camp, New Brunswick. The drill hole intersected two zones of high-grade VMS mineralization, highlighted by copper equivalent grades of up to 8.40%. The assay results reveal increased values of copper, zinc, and other metals with depth, suggesting a substantial mineralized footprint.
The drilling, extending to 155 meters, intersected deformed sediments and volcanics, capturing considerable amounts of pyrite, chalcopyrite, and bands of sphalerite and galena. The promising results are part of Nine Mile's strategy to expand the mineralized zones and align with the exploration model for the Wedge project.
CEO Patrick J. Cruickshank noted the significance of the findings, underscoring the potential of zinc, lead, and silver lenses within the project. Looking forward, the company is set to conduct further surveys to explore the newly discovered Eastern Extension.
