NioCorp to Initiate Mine Portal Construction at Elk Creek Project

NioCorp Developments Ltd. has announced the commencement of its Mine Portal Project, a significant step for the Elk Creek Critical Minerals Project. Set to begin in the first quarter of 2026, the project aims to establish primary entrances to the underground mine, providing access for personnel and materials. The capital cost is estimated at $44.6 million.

This development will facilitate the implementation of the Railveyor™ system, expected to streamline operations and reduce costs. The project focuses on advancing underground development while maintaining environmental and operational benefits through electric-powered equipment.
