Nordex Group Expands German Wind Farm by 40 MW
Hamburg, 2 April 2026. The Nordex Group has secured a new order for 39.9 MW from NeXtWind Management GmbH. This order, part of the Lütau 2 repowering project in Schleswig-Holstein, involves the supply of seven N149/5.X turbines mounted on 125-meter steel towers. Additionally, Nordex will provide a 20-year Premium Service for these turbines.
The installation is set for spring 2027, with the wind farm expected to commence operations by summer 2027. This expansion will increase the Lütau wind farm's capacity to 68.4 MW. Schleswig-Holstein remains a key region for wind energy in Germany, contributing significantly to the nation's climate strategy.
NeXtWind has been focusing on repowering projects since its inception in 2020, with plans to expand its generation capacity to 3 GW by 2028. The project underlines the ongoing transformation of Germany's energy system as part of its environmental goals.
