Nordex Group Secures 34 MW Wind Order in Germany
Nordex Group has announced a new order for 34 MW in Hesse, Germany, from EEF Erneuerbare Energien Fabrik GmbH. This project involves supplying and installing five N175/6.X turbines at the Rauschenberg wind farm. Notably, these turbines will be set on towers with a hub height of 199 metres. The order includes a 20-year Premium Service contract.
The project is part of a repowering initiative, replacing five older turbines with new ones to enhance electricity generation from summer 2028. Despite retaining the same number of turbines, the upgrade significantly boosts production, leveraging stronger wind flows at higher altitudes.
Karsten Brüggemann of Nordex noted the project's importance in fostering an energy transition with efficient site utilization. This order reinforces Nordex's presence in Germany and the demand for high-performance turbines.
