Nordex Group and Alliant Energy Collaborate for Wind Projects in Iowa
On December 10, 2025, Nordex Group announced securing contracts from Alliant Energy to supply up to 190 wind turbines for projects in the Midwest, namely Iowa. This new venture, following a competitive bidding process, is set to enhance manufacturing capabilities and create jobs in the region. The turbine installation is expected in 2028 and 2029, offering a capacity of 1,060 MW once operational.
The turbines will be fabricated at Nordex's West Branch facility, recently renewed for producing turbine components. This collaboration aids Alliant Energy's strategy to provide efficient energy solutions and supports local economic growth.
Key executives from both companies emphasized the importance of technological excellence and regional economic development. Regulatory approvals are pending for the agreement to become official.
