Nordex Group Begins Blade Production in New Türkiye Facility
Hamburg, 22 May 2026. The Nordex Group has commenced production at its new blade manufacturing facility in Menemen, İzmir, Türkiye. This move aims to meet the increasing demand for high-efficiency onshore wind turbines in the region.
The facility spans approximately 130,000 square metres in the İzmir Free Trade Zone. It includes a production building of around 90,000 square metres. With four operational shifts, the plant aims to produce up to 1,200 rotor blades annually, providing employment for approximately 1,200 individuals.
This site will manufacture blades for Nordex's N163 and N175 turbines, designed for medium to strong wind conditions. Initially, production will focus on Türkiye's YEKA projects, with plans to export to European markets.
CEO José Luis Blanco highlights this as a key milestone in the company's growth strategy in Türkiye, strengthening local production capabilities and market position.
