Nordex Group Secures 112 MW Wind Farm Project in Germany
Hamburg, 24 June 2026. The Nordex Group announced a contract to deliver a 112 MW wind farm in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, alongside NeXtWind Management GmbH. The agreement includes the installation of 16 N175/6.X wind turbines, each reaching a hub height of 179 meters. Scheduled installation will commence in November 2027, aiming for spring 2028 commissioning. This project emphasizes Saxony-Anhalt's role in Germany's energy transition, capitalizing on advantageous wind conditions in the Altmark area.
The partnership marks a significant repowering project, enhancing energy infrastructure with a 20-year Premium Service agreement. Karsten Brüggemann of Nordex highlighted the strategic importance of such collaborations for sustainable energy. As Saxony-Anhalt continues to support wind energy growth, the Altmark wind farm stands as a testament to the region's commitment to a fossil-free power supply.
