Norsemont Mining to Restate Financial Statements for Key Periods
Norsemont Mining Inc. plans to restate its consolidated financial statements for the year ending December 31, 2025, and the quarter ending March 31, 2026. The amendments address the classification of convertible debentures and related derivative financial liabilities. Initially categorized as non-current liabilities, these are now deemed current following an audit review. Consequently, current liabilities will rise by over $15 million as of December 2025, and by nearly $23 million as of March 2026.
Additionally, royalties linked to the Choquelimpie Project will be included in financial notes, rectifying previous omissions. Norsemont will file the restated documents on SEDAR+ by August 31, 2026. These changes will not affect total liabilities, shareholders' equity, or cash flows.
