North Shore Uranium Initiates Drilling at Rio Puerco Project

North Shore Uranium Ltd. has announced the commencement of its first drilling program at the Rio Puerco uranium project in New Mexico. The project is part of the Grants Uranium District. To date, Harris Exploration Drilling and Associates, the drilling contractor, has completed three rotary drill holes totaling 625 meters. The company plans to drill up to 26 holes, covering approximately 5,975 meters. The goal is to validate and evaluate historical data from Kerr-McGee Mining Corporation from the 1960s and 1970s.

The company received the necessary permits from New Mexico and the Bureau of Land Management in May 2026. President and CEO, Brooke Clements, emphasized that this drilling program will assist in assessing uranium mineralization at Rio Puerco. With the presence of major uranium sites, New Mexico could become a key player in the USA's uranium production ambitions.
