NVision Introduces POLARIS at UCLouvain to Enhance Cancer Metabolism Study

Quantum technology company NVision has launched its POLARIS platform at UCLouvain's NEST imaging site. This initiative aims to explore cancer metabolism, particularly focusing on melanoma, triple-negative breast cancer, and metastatic conditions. The project seeks to pinpoint metabolic changes linked to treatment responses and resistance in these cancers.

This installation is part of NVision's expanding network of quantum-enhanced MRI research, with recent POLARIS deployments at institutions in Barcelona and Antwerp. There's a plan for 20 installations worldwide by next year. Researchers at UCLouvain will employ POLARIS to spot metabolic biomarkers signaling treatment efficacy earlier than conventional methods.

POLARIS utilizes parahydrogen-induced polarization to amplify MRI signals of metabolic molecules significantly. This advancement allows real-time visualization of metabolic processes, aiming to expose tumor adaptations and vulnerabilities therapeutically. NVision continues to support the initiative, which aligns with European advancements in metabolic imaging research.
