Olympique Lyonnais Reports Decline in Revenue Amid TV Rights Impact
Olympique Lyonnais Groupe announced a decrease in total revenue to €163.6 million for the first nine months of the 2025/2026 fiscal year, down from €178.7 million the previous year. The decline is attributed primarily to a significant 40% drop in Ligue 1 TV rights following the early termination of the DAZN/LFP contract. Player trading revenue also fell by 11%.
Commercial revenue increased by €4.1 million, driven by an uptick in ticketing, which rose by 16%, totaling €35.9 million. Media and marketing rights experienced a decline of 14%, even as revenue from UEFA TV rights saw an 8% increase.
Meanwhile, sponsoring and advertising revenues dropped by 4%. Brand-related and events revenue also saw reductions, the latter by 62%, affected by fewer major events compared to the previous year.
