Olympique Lyonnais Sees 7% Rise in Q1 Revenue Amid Player Trading Surge

Olympique Lyonnais recorded a 7% increase in total operating revenue for the first quarter of the 2025/2026 financial year, reaching €70.8 million compared to the previous year's €66.1 million. This growth was driven by a robust player trading activity, generating €40.7 million, up 37% from €29.7 million in the prior year.

However, the club faced challenges with a decrease in Ligue 1 TV rights following the termination of the DAZN/LFP contract, alongside a less intense major-event activity. Revenue from domestic ticketing fell 15% to €6.2 million, while event-related income plummeted 68% to €2.4 million. Sponsoring and advertising revenues offset some declines, rising 15% due to new partnerships.

Overall, Olympique Lyonnais maintains its focus on enhancing financial results through strategic player sales amidst varying revenue streams.
