OneH2 Launches 931 Bar High-Pressure Tube Trailers for Hydrogen Delivery

OneH2, Inc., based in North Carolina, has introduced a new 931 bar high-pressure hydrogen tube trailer, enhancing its capabilities in hydrogen transport for automotive and heavy vehicle applications. The advanced cylinder technology, developed after years of investment and under a special permit from the U.S. Department of Transport, integrates high-capacity storage and transport of hydrogen under significantly higher pressures than previously used systems.

The new trailers allow for direct fills at 700 bar pressure, which bypass the need for additional compression at the point of use, a common requirement in lower-pressure systems. This innovation is expected to cut costs, reduce processing time, and increase reliability in hydrogen fuel delivery at scale. Each trailer can be equipped with up to 18 cylinders, each holding 27 kg of hydrogen, totaling up to 486 kg per trailer. Smaller configurations are also available for enhanced maneuverability in constrained spaces.

To maximize efficiency, OneH2’s trailers feature a unique cascading function that minimizes the residual hydrogen left in cylinders after discharge. The trailers are also equipped with modern safety features including onboard hydrogen gas sensors, telemetry systems, and safety interlocks. This new setup positions OneH2 favorably in the growing market of hydrogen fuel, promoting more accessible and practical hydrogen fuel solutions.
