Ontario Invests $1.7 Million in Piramal Pharma's Aurora Facility
The Ontario government is investing $1,753,620 in Piramal Pharma Solutions' Aurora drug substance facility. The investment, through the Life Sciences Scale-Up Fund, aims to upgrade the site's infrastructure, enhance research and development, and boost Ontario's pharmaceutical manufacturing sector. With a total investment of over $5.3 million by Piramal, the project intends to create 12 new jobs and secure 183 existing positions.
Piramal Pharma Solutions, a global contract development and manufacturing organization, expressed gratitude towards the Ontario government for supporting innovation and reinforcing Ontario's position as a leader in the life sciences industry. The funding is set to strengthen the availability of critical drug substances and support resilient life sciences innovation in Ontario.
