Pacific Avenue Capital Partners to Acquire U.S. Power Chain Hoist Business
Pacific Avenue Capital Partners, a private equity firm based in Los Angeles, announced an agreement to acquire Columbus McKinnon's U.S. power chain hoist and chain business. This acquisition includes international sales support and a portfolio of brands like Lodestar®, Budgit®, and Powerstar®, serving various markets such as industrial and defense.
The business operates major facilities in Virginia and Tennessee, with a training center in Pennsylvania. As it transitions, the company will focus on innovation and customer service, supported by Pacific Avenue's investment.
Chris Sznewajs, founder of Pacific Avenue, highlights the seamless acquisition process and future growth plans. Spencer Darr of Columbus McKinnon acknowledges Pacific Avenue's expertise as beneficial for the transition.
The deal, advised by KeyBanc Capital Markets and O'Melveny & Myers LLP, is set to close in Q1 2026, pending regulatory approvals.
