Pampa Metals Reports Strong Copper and Bornite Mineralization in Second Drillhole at Piuquenes, Argentina

Pampa Metals Corp. has announced significant findings from their second drillhole, PIU-02, at the Piuquenes Project in San Juan Province, Argentina. This drillhole reached a depth of 870m and was aimed at exploring the western extension of the mineralized body within the Piuquenes Central porphyry. The results revealed moderate intensity porphyry A type quartz veinlets starting from 120m downhole, with copper oxides and notable supergene copper enrichment encountered between 218m to 380m.

Intriguingly, an increase in quartz veining from 364m downhole was associated with higher magnetite content and the presence of bornite and chalcopyrite mineralization, with bornite persisting down to 610m. This core of bornite, often found alongside chalcopyrite and within increased intensity of porphyry A type quartz veining, signals the potential high grade of the porphyry deposits at the project site. Assays are currently underway with results anticipated shortly.

Joseph van den Elsen, President and CEO of Pampa Metals, expressed optimism regarding the expanding mineralization profile at Piuquenes Central, highlighting the importance of bornite-rich cores in correlating with high-grade porphyry deposits globally. The company plans further exploration to delineate this promising find and test other targets within the property.
