Panzani and Cerealis Forge New European Food Powerhouse
Panzani and Cerealis are merging to form a major European food entity, generating €1 billion in combined annual revenues. This union, backed by Cerealis' founding families, Sofina, and CVC Capital Partners, creates a group valued at approximately €1.8 billion.
Panzani, based in Lyon, focuses on pasta, couscous, and sauces in France, the Netherlands, and Central Europe, with €620 million revenue in 2025. Cerealis, headquartered in Porto, operates in Portugal, Spain, the Czech Republic, and Poland, offering pasta, cereals, bars, and biscuits, earning €400 million the same year.
The merger leverages complementary strengths to expand product offerings and market reach, maintaining operational autonomy. Leadership includes Albert Mathieu and Paula Meireles, with Pedro Moreira da Silva overseeing initiatives. Shareholders, including the founding families and CVC, support long-term growth.
