Paragon Demonstrates Resilience Amid Revenue Decline
Paragon GmbH & Co. KGaA reported a significant drop in revenue for the first half of 2025, with figures falling to €55.4 million from €75.4 million the previous year. Despite this decline, the company managed to maintain its EBITDA at €8.7 million, largely thanks to effective cost-saving measures. The EBIT nearly doubled to €3.7 million, showing the positive impact of these implementations.
The company faced challenges in the automotive sector, with sales down in the starter battery business and underperformance from major customers, particularly in China. Nevertheless, Paragon China benefited from strong local sales of low-cost vehicles. A catch-up effect from key automotive clients is expected in the year's second half.
Paragon also expanded into consumer products, although initial contributions were limited. Looking ahead, the company aims to strengthen its consumer division, expecting it to comprise 20% of total sales long-term.
