ParTec and BF exaQC Respond to European Court's Ruling on Patent Dispute with NVIDIA

Munich, March 11, 2026 — The European Unified Patent Court in Munich dismissed the patent infringement case by ParTec AG and BF exaQC AG against NVIDIA Corp. Despite the dismissal, the court affirmed the validity of ParTec's patent, EP 3 743 812 B1, which safeguards technology crucial for AI supercomputers.

The court's ruling highlighted that while NVIDIA's use of the patented architecture was confirmed, the information utilized by NVIDIA did not meet the necessary quality standards set by the patent. ParTec plans to appeal, focusing on NVIDIA's new products, Blackwell and Vera Rubin, which ParTec claims infringe on their patent.

NVIDIA's recent technical revelations indicate compliance with the patent's standards, strengthening ParTec's position in the appeal. The significance of this patent lies in its role in optimizing processor efficiency, crucial in AI advancements. A separate infringement case involving ParTec's patent EP 3 614 263 is still pending.
