P&F Products & Features GmbH Acquires AVVie GmbH

P&F Products & Features GmbH (P&F) has announced the acquisition of AVVie GmbH, a firm founded by cardiac surgeon Prof. Werner Mohl. This acquisition incorporates AVVie's AngelValve™ Augmentation System, a transcatheter solution for mitral regurgitation, into P&F's portfolio. The move aims to bolster P&F's structural heart therapies and reinforce its commitment to innovation in the field.

Mitral regurgitation affects over 13 million people in Europe and the US. Despite the vast number of sufferers, less than 5% of moderate to severe cases receive treatment. P&F seeks to close this treatment gap and improve quality of life through this acquisition.

Combining AVVie's R&D and intellectual property with P&F's global capabilities, the new organization plans to accelerate innovation. Financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed.
