LIPSIA-STRATEGY Trial Validates CAAS vFFR in Revascularization
Pie Medical Imaging's LIPSIA-STRATEGY trial has demonstrated that revascularization guided by CAAS vFFR, an angiography-based Fractional Flow Reserve, is non-inferior to conventional pressure wire-based FFR. Conducted with 1,053 patients, this multicenter, randomized trial assessed clinical outcomes for coronary artery stenoses. The trial's primary endpoint focused on major adverse cardiovascular events over one year, confirming comparable clinical results for both strategies. Presented at TCT 2026 and published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, these findings support CAAS vFFR as a viable, less invasive alternative, reducing procedure and radiation time, thus benefiting both caregivers and patients.
