OPmobility Expands U.S. Presence with New Midwest Plant
OPmobility has announced plans for a new manufacturing plant in Toledo, Ohio, strengthening its presence in the U.S. automotive market. This new facility, targeting exterior solutions, marks a significant step in the company's North American expansion. With production set to begin in late 2027, the plant's strategic Midwest location aims to improve logistics and reduce transportation impacts.
The facility will focus on producing high-quality exterior systems, using advanced technologies like injection molding and a high-efficiency paint line. It is expected to create over 500 jobs, supporting Ohio's economic growth and further integrating OPmobility into the U.S. market.
This investment follows OPmobility's new North American headquarters in Michigan, underlining its commitment to the region and its goal to double U.S. sales by 2030. The project has received support from JobsOhio and is seen as a boost to the state's automotive sector.
