86.4 MW Wind Farm Project in Lower Saxony Secures Permit
In a significant development, PNE AG and Volksbanken in the Cloppenburg district have received a permit for a wind farm project in Lower Saxony. The project, set to take place in Löningen, will comprise 12 wind turbines with a total output of 86.4 megawatts, providing clean energy to about 52,000 three-person households annually.
The wind farm is a hallmark of community participation, allowing local citizens, alongside landowners and PNE Group, to own the turbines. This model exemplifies a decentralized and cooperative approach to renewable energy, enhancing regional economic benefits.
Roland Stanze, COO of PNE AG, emphasizes the importance of local collaboration for the project’s success. The initiative marks a step forward in sustainable energy production, aligning economic and social needs through community engagement.
