Politecnico di Milano Opens Brussels Office to Boost EU Engagement
The Politecnico di Milano has inaugurated a new Brussels Liaison Office to enhance communication with EU institutions. This initiative aims to strategically support participation in EU research and innovation programs. The launch, which took place at the European Parliament, highlighted the university’s commitment to becoming a prominent figure in European research.
Amidst the conclusion of the NRRP, the Politecnico di Milano’s new Brussels office is poised to play a crucial role as the next EU Framework Programme emerges as a primary funding source. Currently, the university leads Italy in obtaining Horizon Europe funding, with 389 projects totaling approximately €185.68 million.
Rector Donatella Sciuto emphasized the university’s goal of contributing to European decision-making processes. The Brussels office will act as a bridge, fostering connections between universities, research entities, and the European industrial sector.
