Rainbow World Group is taking legal action regarding image rights

Rainbow World Group has announced that its subsidiary, Rainbow Images, will initiate legal proceedings. The case concerns breaches of image rights and intellectual property agreements related to footballer Yan Diomande. The dispute arises after several years of investment supporting Diomande's rise in European football.

The company claims to be a key commercial partner in Diomande's development, overseeing his education and trials with renowned clubs. Rainbow seeks to have agreements it deems valid recognized and wishes to reassure everyone of its intentions: the goal is not to hinder the player's career but to ensure contractual compliance.

This dispute highlights major issues for the development of African football. Rainbow insists on the need for contractual security to attract sustainable investment to the continent. The proceedings will take place in the High Court in London and the British Virgin Islands.
