Reju Selects Rochester, New York for U.S. Industrial Regeneration Hub

Reju, a leading textile-to-textile regeneration company, has announced the selection of Rochester, New York, for its first U.S.-based industrial facility. This move marks a significant step in Reju's global expansion, aiming to bolster their circular textile system. The chosen site at Eastman Business Park spans 18.9 acres and is designed to regenerate up to 300 million pieces of textile waste annually. This will be transformed into high-quality Reju Polyester with a reduced carbon footprint.

The project awaits a final investment decision from Technip Energies' board. Reju's CEO, Patrik Frisk, emphasized the importance of this site in establishing a global circular system. New York Governor Hochul hailed the initiative for its potential to create 70 new jobs and support the state's green economy efforts. The U.S. facility adds to Reju's network, which includes sites in Germany and the Netherlands.
