REPLOID Group AG and PreZero Explore European Partnership

REPLOID Group AG has entered into a non-binding memorandum of understanding with PreZero Stiftung & Co. KG and its subsidiary, GreenCycle. This potential collaboration aims to advance insect larvae processing and the development of insect-based products. The partnership envisions the construction of an insect farming facility in Buchen, Baden-Württemberg, set to be completed by the end of 2026. This facility will utilize food waste for insect farming, accompanied by a processing plant for insect larvae and fertilizers.

PreZero, part of the globally active Schwarz Group, specializes in recycling and waste management. The group sees significant potential in food waste utilization via insect processing, aligning with their sustainable recycling and energy management goals. A joint market presence is planned, with products potentially distributed under a shared brand.
