Revolve Secures Key Permit for El 24 Wind Project in Mexico
Revolve Renewable Power Corp has announced that it has received the Generation Permit for its 130 MW El 24 Wind Project in Tamaulipas, Mexico. This approval from the Comisión Nacional de Energía (CNE) marks a crucial regulatory achievement, advancing El 24 toward ready-to-build status. The project was one of only five wind projects in Mexico to secure such a permit.
The permit ensures regulatory certainty and compliance with Mexico's electricity framework, reducing remaining development risk. Revolve has completed essential site control and environmental assessments prior to CNE's approval. The company's focus now shifts to final engineering, interconnection agreements, and potential commercialization strategies.
The Mexican government has outlined plans to expand renewable energy capacity by 5,970 MW between 2026 and 2030, prioritizing private sector projects like El 24. With the permit secured, Revolve is evaluating future opportunities, including the 400 MW Presa Nueva Wind Project. The El 24 Wind Project is scheduled for a commercial operation by 2028.
