RHI Magnesita Reports Robust H1 2026 Results with Strong Steel Performance
RHI Magnesita N.V. has announced its unaudited results for the first half of 2026, showcasing a significant 42% rise in Adjusted EBITA on a constant currency basis, driven by strong performance in the steel sector. Despite a 5% decline in revenue to €1,595 million, Adjusted EBITA increased to €165 million, reflecting the company's effective cost measures. The steel segment contributed positively, especially in markets like North America, Europe, and India, while the industrial segment faced challenges due to reduced demand in high-margin areas such as Industrial Projects for Glass.
Financial performance was buoyed by self-help initiatives and price adaptations, though the company faced a foreign exchange headwind of €24 million. Adjusted EPS rose by 32% to €1.81. Working capital intensity increased as inventory levels were built up in anticipation of a strong H2, affecting cash flow which softened to €160 million. Despite challenges, the company declared an interim dividend of €0.60 per share. RHI Magnesita remains focused on leveraging self-help measures for future growth and improving its operating leverage.
