RingConn's Study Highlights Advances in Wearable Health Monitoring
RingConn, under its parent company Ninenovo, has made significant strides in wearable health technology. A joint study involving Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Mianyang Central Hospital analyzed 97,559 valid PPG samples from 1,810 participants. Published in npj Digital Medicine, the study explores the potential of bilateral cardiovascular monitoring using wearable rings, overcoming longstanding accuracy issues in consumer wearables.
The research disclosed promising outcomes in heart rate estimation by synchronizing PPG signals from both hands, reducing errors significantly. While improvements in blood pressure estimations were modest, the study confirms the importance of signal consistency and sensor placement.
As cardiovascular disease remains a leading cause of death worldwide, this study could enhance accessible and continuous health monitoring. RingConn's commitment to investing in hardware and data algorithms positions it at the forefront of digital health solutions.
