Rio Grande Resources Progresses Winston Project with New Sampling Phase
Rio Grande Resources Ltd. has launched a second phase of field sampling and mapping at its Winston Gold-Silver Project in New Mexico. This effort supports the upcoming Phase 1 drill program, aiming to refine and prioritize drill targets through detailed structural mapping and systematic sampling. Dahrouge Geological Consulting USA Ltd. will conduct the program, focusing on Poverty Creek and other key areas identified through recent surveys.
Previous results revealed high-grade surface findings, showing up to 41.2 g/t gold and 1,435 g/t silver. The new phase integrates these results with data from airborne magnetic and radiometric surveys to target structurally controlled zones with high discovery potential. This approach emphasizes continuity and grade distribution, employing channel sampling as the primary method.
Data collected will enhance the understanding of structural controls, supporting Rio Grande's data-driven exploration strategies as it moves towards the Phase 1 Drill Program.
