Rocky Shore Gold Commences Exploration at Rocky Pond
Rocky Shore Gold Ltd. has initiated a significant 1,321-kilometre airborne TDEM geophysical survey at its Rocky Pond VMS Project in Newfoundland. The project, located within the Buchans-Roberts Arm VMS Belt, is known for gold-rich polymetallic mineralization, with plans for a winter drill program in early 2027. Rocky Pond complements the company's Gold Anchor Project, both in central Newfoundland.
Ken Lapierre, President and CEO of Rocky Shore, emphasizes the unprecedented scale of the survey, which aims to uncover buried VMS mineralization. Indications of gold-rich deposits in the Handcamp Zone affirm the project's potential. Previous drilling has shown promising results with gold equivalent grades as high as 4.58 g/t over 4.10 meters. Surface samples at Loon Pond near the Handcamp Zone also suggest substantial mineral content.
