ROHM Introduces New Brushed DC Motor Driver ICs for Various Applications
KYOTO, Japan, Jan. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- ROHM Co., Ltd. has unveiled two new motor driver ICs, the BD60210FV (20V, 2ch) and BD64950EFJ (40V, 1ch), targeting brushed DC motor applications in consumer and industrial devices. These include appliances like refrigerators, air conditioners, printers, and robotic vacuum cleaners.
The increasing demand for energy-efficient, versatile motor drivers in electrified consumer and industrial equipment has led to these developments. The new ICs minimize the need for external components and reduce device size, offering power savings with ultra-low standby current.
The BD60210FV supports dual H-bridge and direct PWM control, while the BD64950EFJ offers single H-bridge with both direct and constant current PWM control, reducing heat through low on-resistance. Both ICs are now available via online distributors such as DigiKey and MOUSER.
