Safran Announces €5 Billion Share Buyback Plan

Safran has initiated a significant €5 billion share buyback program for the period 2025 to 2028. The company revealed this plan during its Capital Markets Day on December 5, 2024. This strategic move aims at reducing the number of shares in circulation, potentially boosting the value of remaining shares.

On January 9, 2025, Safran signed an agreement for the first tranche of this buyback, amounting to €350 million. The repurchase will occur between January 10 and April 14, 2025. The buyback complies with the authorization granted by the shareholders’ General Meeting on May 23, 2024.
