Saint-Gobain Expands Construction Footprint in Latin America
Saint-Gobain has solidified its presence in Latin America's construction sector with strategic moves in Peru and Brazil. The group has acquired QSI Productos para la Construcción in Peru, enhancing its construction chemicals platform. This acquisition complements existing operations, including Soquimic, active since 2025, and strengthens ties with leading brands like Weber and Z Aditivos. This expansion targets vital markets such as infrastructure and mining.
In Brazil, Saint-Gobain is increasing its plasterboard production capacity by establishing a fourth line at its Bahia plant. This development follows a third line inaugurated in 2024. The site is set to become the largest plasterboard facility in South America, supporting the trend towards light construction. These initiatives align with the company's Lead & Grow plan, reinforcing its role as a pivotal partner in the construction value chain.
