Samsung Emphasizes Trust and Security in AI at CES 2026
At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, Samsung Electronics hosted a panel titled "In Tech We Trust? Rethinking Security & Privacy in the AI Age". This session, held at The Wynn, focused on how trust influences the adoption of AI technologies. Panelists asserted that trust in AI is earned through consistent, transparent behavior, a point supported by Samsung's "trust-by-design" approach. They highlighted AI systems' predictability and transparency as key to user control and confidence. Samsung demonstrated how on-device AI maintains data privacy, while cloud-use is selective.
The discussion also addressed evolving security needs as AI integrates into various devices. Samsung showcased its Knox security platform, which provides protection across many devices. Knox Matrix notably allows devices to authenticate and protect each other, strengthening overall security.
In partnership with industry leaders like Google and Microsoft, Samsung aims to enhance security research and interoperability. Panelists acknowledged AI's challenges, such as misinformation, but emphasized technology's role in addressing these. As AI's role grows, technologies that prioritize security, transparency, and user choice will gain lasting trust.
