Sandoz Collaborates with mAbxience on Emicizumab Biosimilar

Sandoz Group AG, a leader in affordable medicines, announces a new collaboration with mAbxience. The agreement focuses on the development of an emicizumab biosimilar, targeting a market valued at USD 5.7 billion. Emicizumab will be the first haemophilia biosimilar in Sandoz's pipeline, focusing on haemophilia A treatment.

Sandoz aims to fortify its biosimilars portfolio, which already includes 40 assets. The new collaboration may open doors for further ventures with mAbxience. The agreement grants Sandoz exclusive global commercialization rights for the biosimilar, excluding some South American countries. Financial terms remain confidential.

This move supports Sandoz's mission to expand affordable medicine access amid rising healthcare costs. The initiative builds on Sandoz's previous agreements with Henlius and Samsung Bioepis, enhancing its global leadership in biosimilars.
