SAPMER's financial performance in the first half of 2026
SAPMER recorded revenue of €29.4 million in the first half of 2026, a 23% decrease compared to the same period in 2025, primarily due to lower shipment volumes. Despite this, the company maintained an EBITDA margin of 18% thanks to favorable selling prices and rigorous cost management.
The sale of the tuna business, effective September 2026, resulted in a significant accounting loss of €15.7 million, negatively impacting the consolidated net result, which stood at -€13.1 million. Nevertheless, this strategic sale allows SAPMER to refocus on its more stable Patagonian toothfish and lobster businesses.
The outlook remains optimistic with expected stability in Patagonian toothfish quotas and continued expansion in distribution and marketing, particularly in the Réunion market.
