SBB Passenger Transport Opts for IVU.cloud

Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) Passenger Transport has selected IVU.cloud from IVU Traffic Technologies AG for its software management, specifically IVU.rail. This strategic move aims to ensure the efficient and economical operation of SBB's planning and dispatch systems. As the largest rail operator in Switzerland, SBB's decision underscores the importance of robust IT systems along with clear and reliable operational processes.

With approximately 35,000 employees and 11,569 trains in daily operation, SBB's shift to IVU.cloud highlights its commitment to maintaining high standards in punctuality and quality. The integration of IVU.rail more than two years ago was a significant step in enhancing the scheduling and deployment of vehicles and personnel.

IVU Traffic Technologies AG now handles the hosting and technical application management, offering SBB increased data security and reducing technical complexities. This collaboration aligns with SBB's "Cloud-First" strategy, prioritizing scalable cloud infrastructure.
