Semidynamics and SiPearl Collaborate on EU-Sovereign AI Compute Platform

Semidynamics and SiPearl have announced a strategic partnership to develop a rack-scale AI compute platform in Europe. The collaboration aims to provide a sovereign and energy-efficient solution supporting major European AI initiatives. SiPearl will contribute its Arm®-based CPUs for orchestration and hosting tasks, while Semidynamics will offer RISC-V-based GPUs to enhance AI inference workloads.

This platform is designed to conform to Open Compute Project standards, ensuring compatibility with established cloud infrastructure. By focusing on energy efficiency, the companies aim to reduce operating costs and meet sustainability requirements.

The initiative aims to strengthen Europe's technological sovereignty by localizing key compute components. Target applications include cloud-based AI inference, enterprise-scale processing, and public sector projects requiring data autonomy. This collaborative effort highlights Europe's commitment to building independent AI capabilities to reduce reliance on non-European technologies.
